From low-key to luxurious, we have recommendations for every budget.
Now you can’t say you don’t know what to do for Christmas or New Year’s Eve.
If you wanna splash out, we recommend …
The St. Regis Singapore
We love The St. Regis and we cannot lie. Over the years, we’ve had the good fortune of being wined and dined multiple times at this ritzy establishment, and each occasion has been absolutely dreamy. While the hotel makes for a beautiful venue for your festive celebration, you can also enjoy the gourmet treats in the comfort of your home. Choose from mouthwatering favourites such as the Marinated Beef Tenderloin with Truffle Mashed Potato, Buttered Vegetables, and Merlot Sauce or the Orange-Glazed Gammon Ham with Buttered Vegetables, Mashed Potato, and Cointreau and Kumquat Sauce.

Goodwood Park Hotel
Ah, this is another favourite of ours. Whether for dine-in or takeaway, Goodwood Park never fails to -ahem- deliver the goods. This year, the hotel has come up with an inventive “Wu Xi” turkey that will please everybody in the family, including those relatives of yours who insist on eating only Asian food. This turkey is braised with red yeast rice, red dates, and a proprietary blend of spices for about two hours before being roasted, and is paired with Shanghai-style vegetable fried rice. Also, back by popular demand is the deliriously delicious Slow Roasted Iberico Pork Belly with Crackling, Pickled Cabbage, Apple Sauce, and Pork Jus, where the pork belly is slow-roasted for three and a half hours. Yum!

For a romantic ambience, we can’t think of a better venue than Capella Singapore. Surrounded by lush greenery and serene views of the South China Sea, this is the best place to celebrate the season with your beloved. Capella Singapore is organising a variety of dining events this festive season, including its ever-popular Christmas Brunch. However, for something a little more intimate, we recommend the Mediterranean-inspired celebratory meal at The Knolls, where couples can opt for private poolside dining with their own personal butler.

District 10 Bar & Restaurant
In my opinion, District 10 is seriously underrated. The restaurant team consistently serves up great-tasting food at prices that won’t break the bank, and is also constantly coming up with new ways to wow customers. In October, it was the cheese wheel, and this festive season, they’re bringing back a fiery tradition. Gather your carnivorous pals and head down to their Suntec City outlet to feast on the Black Angus Tomahawk. This sizeable hunk of grain-fed meat (up to 1.7kg) will be placed on a custom-made skewer set and flamed by your table. Having tried this at a recent media tasting, I can assure you the flavour of this beef is sublime – crisp on the outside, and exceptionally juicy on the inside.
Over at their UE Square outlet, dig into the hearty Mixed Grill Platter, which includes Ribeye Steak, Weisswurt Sausages, Grilled Pork Chops, and Rosemary Chicken served with salad and fries. For an additional $39++, you can also add a Live Boston Lobster. District 10 at UE Square will also be extending their cheese wheel promotion, with two new addition – Linguine with Mixed Seafood in a spicy tomato basil sauce and Spaghetti with Smoked Salmon in a light cream sauce.
