June may be almost over, but there’s still time for a short getaway!

We are here to rescue you with yet another list of possible holiday destinations catered to your interests. Whether you’re a history buff or a water baby, we have tried our best to make the list as inclusive as possible. In the off-chance that nothing of your fancy is mentioned in this list,  check out Part 1 here.

For the history nerd …

Located along the south-west coast of Malaysia, Negeri Sembilan is where you need to be if you appreciate history, castles, and ancient architecture. Seri Menanti, the royal capital of Negeri Sembilan is home to the Istana Seri Menanti, or the Seri Menanti Old Palace. Built at the turn of the 20th century, this marvellous piece of history was built devoid of a single nail in its entire structure!

If a trip to the palace does not satiate your thirst for historical knowledge, visit the State Museum Complex (Teratak Perpatih) to find out more about Minangkabau and Bugis culture. Treat yourself to a visual spectacle of intricately ornate swords, daggers, and headdresses.

For the little mermaid …

Prance around barefoot on the pristine white beaches of Canigao, or set up a hammock and take a well-deserved nap.
