How To Steal Your Favourite Screen Characters’ Look Anything Goes

From Game of Thrones to Jurassic Park, here’s how you can get your style game up.

A TV Serialist. That pretty much sums up what I do in my free time (apart from eating cakes and drinking too much tea). Many of you may have fallen in love with a fictional character’s outfits (or the fictional character itself!). Here are the top few that I cannot get enough of and how you can adapt it for every day use.

1. Jon Snow From Game of Thrones

This handsome lad is alive (whoops, spoiler alert). That is great for us because now we can see this man dress in the colour he knows best: black. If you want to know how to look smart while keeping it casual, then you should steal his outfit!

What He is Wearing: Leather,  boots, and a fur coat.

How To Adapt It: Boots are great, even in our tropical weather. However, it’s probably not a smart move to wear a leather jacket in this heat. To channel your inner Jon Snow, just go monochrome and if anyone mocks your fashion choices, go ahead and let them know, “you know nothin”.

2. Claire From Jurassic World

Remember the scene where she runs from a Tyrannosaurus Rex, in sky-high heels? Claire exudes #girlboss with her sleek look and no-nonsense stilettos. Although her outfit was muddied and torn in the film,  take a closer look and you’ll see Claire is dressed simply by pairing a structured skirt with a loose blouse and a belt to emphasise her waist. Conservative yet chic. It is all business with Claire.

What She is Wearing: White midi skirt, long sleeved blouse with a button down front, elastic belt, and (un)sensible heels.

How To Adapt It: This outfit is easy to replicate. If you wish to forgo the belt, simply do a half tuck for casual look. Otherwise, tuck the top in and roll the sleeves to keep cool and show off your accessories! Of course, finish off with a pair of killer heels.
