Forget track pants and oversized tees. You can be comfortable on the plane and still look trendy! Girls Generation shows us how.
Korean fashion has become a major trend on its own, thanks to the rise of K-pop. It’s no secret that South Koreans put a lot of stock in their appearance, and try to look impeccably dressed at all times. At the airport, where many celebrities are frequently seen jet-setting, the runway has become a place to flaunt one’s sartorial prowess.
The girls from Girls Generation have been consistently stylish on and off-stage, and their airport fashion is no exception. Here are a few ways they beat the in-flight chill in chic outerwear:
1. Jessica Jung
Arguably the most stylish one back when she was in Girls Generation, the singer-turned-fashion designer (check out her very own label, Blanc and Eclare!) holds major fashion clout. Little wonder that she always shows up at airports looking impossibly fashion-forward. Here, she mixes classy pieces such as a royal-blue knit sweater and a statement necklace with a rugged camel-coloured coat and skinny jeans. Finishing off with a matching blue handbag, ‘Sica looks every bit the fashionista businesswoman that she is!
The maknae (youngest member) of Girls Generation Seohyun is all grown up now. Here, she takes on a more mature look in a bright red chiffon shirt, matching oversize scarlet coat, and black low-rise skinny jeans. She also balances out menswear (how on-point are those lace-up Oxford pumps!) with feminine accents like the over-sized leopard print clutch.
While typically dressed in simple summery dresses and ruffled skirts, Yoona elevated her look this time in a neutral-hued lace top, structured black coat, and a pair of red shorts. Finishing off with a cross-body purse and black pumps, this Girls Generation member has ladylike chic nailed. (Although I can’t imagine catching the plane in those heels …)
