Tee off with Take That, MasterChef presenter Monica Galetti, and DJ Jack Novak.
Already into its 9th year here, the HSBC Women’s Champions is an event that many golf enthusiasts look forward to. Where else can you see the world’s top female golfers gather and compete in one place? Lydia Ko, Inbee Park, Paula Creamer, ranked number 1 and 2, and 2014 champion respectively, are just a few of the players who have confirmed their attendance at the event.
But even if the names don’t quite ring a bell, this year’s four-day HSBC Women’s Champions event has loads to offer non-golf fans as well.
1. Take That headlines the music line-up
If you missed your chance to see them live in the 90s (maybe cos you were only 12 and sitting for the PSLE exam?), now’s the time to relive the heady days when TT was (arguably) the world’s most popular band. Although short of Robbie Williams and Jason Orange, we’re sure Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald will be more than able to hold the fort as you sing along to hits like “Back For Good” and “Babe”. Psst, scroll to the end of this post to see how you can win tickets to the Take That concert at HSBC Women’s Champions.
Take That will be performing on March 5.
2. Enjoy culinary delights whipped up by MasterChef host Monica Galetti
The event will also see a world-first preview of Monica Galetti’s new restaurant Mere, before it opens in Fitzrovia, London, later this year. Galetti was a protege of Michel Roux Jr, under whom she worked under at the two Michelin-starred Le Gavroche in London, before she became a presenter at MasterChef: The Professionals. Over the course of the four-day tournament, you can enjoy some of her creations at a pop-up booth with the same name as her new restaurant.
3. Women in music will also be celebrated at the event
Electronic dance music DJ Jack Novak will also be spinning some of her coolest tunes at the event. The 29-year-old has shared the stage with the likes of Skrillex, David Guetta, Rihanna and more, and you can groove to some of her beats on March 5 before and after Take That’s performance. Joining her will be two female Singaporean DJs, DJ Farz and DJ Li.A. DJ Li.A will kick the event off on March 3, while DJ Farz will showcase her talents on March 4 and 6 after the last putt as been made.
HSBC Women’s Champions takes place from March 3 – 6. Tickets for Take That are available from $138, while a seasonal pass for the four-day golf tournament retails for $60. Get your tickets from Sistic now.
