We can’t think of anyone better than Knut Randhem, the renowned Swedish mixologist of CE LA VI, to recommend the top bars in the Land of Smiles!
His name needs no introduction in the creative world of mixology. Knut, who grew up in Denmark where he spent more than 10 years mastering the craft and art of bartending, has opened two highly acclaimed bars – Bella Sky at one of Copenhagen’s best designed hotels, and Ourselves Alone, which is among Europe’s top 50 bars. In 2012, Knut joined Nordic Bar Syndicate, a consultancy that specialises in all-things cocktails. Two years later, he was invited to be a judge on Diageo World Class Thailand, the world’s largest mixology competition.
Today, as the Head Mixologist of CE LA VI, Knut oversees bar operations in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Bangkok. He recently introduced Aperitivo to the Singapore bar, whipping up a menu of five Italian pre-meal drinks, including the very refreshing Spanish classic Sangria – available in red or white, Knut’s sangria concoctions feature fruit and berries that are marinated in yuzu, umeshu, and cognac before being submerged in the wine.
Because of his frequent visits to Bangkok, who better than Knut to recommend a list of must-go bars in the city? Read on.
